New data for August 2011...
Updated and new data on the site:
- NEW Mätaitai reserve coordinates.
- NEW New Zealand roads and highways.
- NEW SPRFMO convention area has been added.
- UPDATED Seabird distributions - 14 endangered seabird annual distributions and breeding distributions have been updated.
- UPDATED Invertebrate distributions - 15 invertebrate and 22 endangered invertebrate distributions have been updated.
- UPDATED Mätaitai reserve boundaries and coordinates - newly gazetted Mätaitai Hakihea has been added.
- UPDATED Change colour option has been added to various Ministry of Fisheries boundaries layers.
- UPDATED Topographic maps - Has been changed so that the more detailed topographic map switches on sooner.
- UPDATED Rohe Moana boundaries - Updated with the latest Kaitiaki changes up until the 1st July 2011.
- UPDATED Commercial regulations - new groupings of commercial regulations have been added. Also, all commercial regulations have been updated with the latest regulation changes as at 12 May 2011.

Mätaitai reserve coordinates
A new layer containing the Mätaitai reserve coordinates has been added to NABIS.

NZ roads and highways
A new layer of NZ highways has been added as well as a layer of roads for each region in New Zealand.

SPRFMO South Pacific Convention Area
The finalised SPRFMO South Pacific Convention Area has been added to NABIS.

Mätaitai reserve coordinates and boundaries
A new mätaitai reserve named Hakihea has been declared on the east cape near Gisborne.

Change colour tool
The change colour tool (as previously available in the commercial catch and commercial effort tools) is now available for various management layers such as QMA's, FMA's and the commercial and amateur fishing restrictions.

Topographic maps
The settings in the topographic maps have been changed so that the more detailed topographic maps are shown earlier.

Commercial fishing regulations
The commercial fishing regulations have been grouped into categories so that specific regulations can be loaded on to a map.
The commercial and amateur regulations have also been updated with changes made to the regulations on the 12th of May 2011.
Note: the full area regulations are still on NABIS and will continue to be updated with regulation changes as well as the new grouped layers. |
