  • UPDATED Mätaitai Reserve boundaries and coordinates - 4 newly gazetted Mätaitai have been added (Tauperikaka, Mussel Point, Bruce Bay, Hunts Beach). 
  • UPDATED Rohe Moana boundaries and coordinates - Updated with new Ngati Pahauwera Rohe Moana and also updated with the latest Kaitiaki changes up until the 30th September 2011.
  • UPDATED Marine Reserves - Updated with new Tawharanui Marine Reserve.
  • IMPROVED General FMA boundaries - Now the FMA labels display as the FMA code plus the FMA name e.g. 'FMA5 Southland'.

 

  • We also made nearly 100 bug fixes!

5 new aquaculture layers have been added to NABIS:

Current marine farms – locations of existing marine farms

Current marine farm applications – locations of marine farms that are currently being applied for

Previous marine farms  - locations of marine farms that are no longer in existence

Previous marine farm applications – locations of marine farms that were applied for in the past

Declined marine farm applications – locations of marine farms whose applications were declined

General FMA Coordinates

A new layer of general FMA coordinates has been added to NABIS.

Also note that the FMA labels are now in the format of FMA code followed by the FMA name (rather than just the FMA name).

The general statistical area coordinates have been added to NABIS.

Marine Reserve Coordinates and New Tawharanui Marine Reserve

Marine reserve coordinates have been added to NABIS (Note: that only legislated coordinates have been included in this layer)

Tawharanui Marine Reserve (north of Auckland) has also been added to NABIS.Marine reserve coordinates

 

 

Updated Data

Mätaitai Reserve Coordinates and Boundaries

Four new mätaitai reserves (Tauperikaka, Mussel Point, Bruce Bay, Hunts Beach) on the west coast of the South Island have been gazetted and added to the Mataitai Reserve Coordinates and Boundaries layers.

Rohe Moana Coordinates and Boundaries  

A new Rohe Moana (Ngati Pahauwere) in the Hawkes Bay has been gazetted and added to the Rohe Moana Coordinates and Boundaries layers.
