A new mataitai reserve has been added at Moeraki (Otago Region).

A new mataitai reserve has been added at Te Kaio (Banks Peninsula).

S186 Temporary Closures
A new S186 Closures has been added at Maunganui Bay (Bay of Islands). The closures states that "No person may take fish, aquatic life or seaweed, with the exception of kina while this notice is in force"
The S186 Temporary Closure for Ohiwa Harbour has expired and has been removed from NABIS.

Tool - TRAWL SURVEY
The trawl survey tool, which pulls trawl survey data from NIWA via a web service has now been added on the map page under SELECT LAYERS>Layer Generation Tools. Try the new "What's here" on the legend.
It uses a funky on map pop up.
