Updated and new data on the site:
- UPDATED Beach Cast Seaweed - updated to represent the areas described in the Fisheries (Beach Cast Seaweed Area Prohibition) Amendment Notice 2009.
- UPDATED Marine Mammal Sanctuaries - updated to represent the additional Marine Mammal Sanctuaries regulated in 2008.
- UPDATED Hector and Maui's dolphin strandings database - up to date as of the latest DOC release of strandings.
- UPDATED Mataitai Reserves - changed the display colour to blue so the reserves can be seen against the land.
- UPDATED Rohe Moana Boundaries and Coordinates - two new Rohe Moana added in the South Taranaki region.
- UPDATED Species distributions - 16 spawning and juvenile fish annual distributions and 9 endangered seabird annual distributions have been updated.
- CHECKED Species distributions - 62 spawning and juvenile fish distributions (both annual and seasonal), assessed to confirm there have been no change since 2007.

Beach Cast Seaweed
The beach cast seaweed notice has been split into 2 notices, one that shows the areas where it is PERMITTED to commercially collect beach cast seaweed (blue) and one that shows the ares where it is PROHIBITED to commercially collect beach cast seaweed (red).

Marine Mammal Sanctuaries
The marine mammal sanctuaries layer has been updated to include the marine mammal sanctuaries that were legislated in October 2008.

Maui and Hector's Dolphin Strandings Database
The database has been updated to the latest release on the DOC website (incidents between 1 December 2010 and 31 January 2011)

Mataitai Reserves
The colour of the Mataitai Reserves has been changed to blue so they can be seen on top of the simple coastline.

Rohe Moana Boundaries and Coordinates
Two new Rohe Moana have been gazetted in southern Taranaki, they are areas represented by Ngati Haumia and Titahi-Ngaruahine.

Species Distributions
16 spawning and juvenile fish annual distributions and 9 endangered seabird annual distributions have been updated.
